Back to Maji Moto

We really like this place and it was fun to introduce it to friends (old and new) and Mimi and Popi (David’s parents visiting from Maine).  Especially now that it is getting hot, the water is so refreshing.  Yes, we have access to a pool, but it’s not the same as driving an hour down a dry, dusty road to find a mini oasis.  I still find it hard to believe that we are the only ones there.  But, it is not an easy find and it’s only thanks to Matt’s internal GPS that we can even find it.  I can’t imagine giving directions to it because there are roads, trails, footpaths and villages all over the place. 

We’re becoming experts…our picnics are gourmet and our toys are better.  Thanks to a tip from my good friend Susan, we got these great snorkel rafts that have a plexiglas ‘window’ built in.  I can’t wait to get these to the ocean!

But, really it’s just about hanging out with good friends and family and enjoying the things that Tanzania has to offer.
