We have great neighbors. The kids run back and forth and there’s no need to get permission to see if it’s okay. I love that they are all totally comfortable with each other wherever they are. Well, now we officially have THE BEST neighbor.
The family that lives across the ‘street’ (really a dirt road/path since we’re the last houses on the road) owns a hunting safari company whose offices are just across as well. Occasionally they have a very wealthy client who likes to be taken around via helicopter. Today was that day. The helicopter landed across the street last night and this morning it was going to take off to pick up the client at a fancy lodge just a few miles away. Anderson was asked if he wanted to join them on the short jaunt. Ummmm, let me think about that. Soccer practice be damned. Helicopter ride it was.
This was Anderson’s view when the helicopter took off two years ago.
A bit of a different perspective this time
Ready for take-off
There they go (with the neighbor mom and dad)
In the air
And why not just do a little flyover of Mt. Meru while they’re up there (thanks for the pics, Claire)
What an amazing way for a six year old boy and his friends to spend a bit of time on a Saturday morning.
Happy kids after their ride
