This weekend we went away to the TPC Sugar Plantation in Moshi. We’ve been meaning to go here for a couple of years, but this time it took the organization of one of our friends to get us there. We went with two other families who both have kids about the same ages…there was so much room – 6 adults and 8 kids comfortably fit in the main house and it’s associated cottage. We ate great food: both in the main clubhouse and cooked poolside; relaxed; swam; went for walks and bike rides; kids’ golf; and even managed to fit in a ‘friendly’ game of baseball. It certainly made being away from the Finger Lakes Triathlon this weekend a bit easier to take.
This is actually the sugar that we buy. Fun to go stay where it’s grown and produced. Next time…factory tour.

We saw several of these guys carrying huge piles of wood on their bicycles. How do they get on and off the bike? Seriously impressive.
This weekend was also the Finger Lakes Triathlon that 12 of my family members did in honor of Mike. Can you say homesick?

I am so proud of all the Team Coyle participants. You all rock! It was killing me not to be there with you all. Here’s a post from Mike’s friend Mary Eggers who was announcing the race…she’s been an amazing supporter to all of us this past year. She nails it.
