Walk in Arusha National Park

Matt had a couple of coworkers in town and the kids are officially on school holiday, so Sunday we decided to head to Arusha National Park for a short walking safari.  Tierney injured her foot on Friday, so we replaced her with Anderson’s friend for the day.  We joked that the boys called each other that morning to check on what the other was wearing.

The weather (and views) weren’t as nice as the last time that we did this walk, but it was still great to get out.

And not minutes after we were discussing whether or not there are elephants in Arusha National Park we came across this weirdly tailed elephant. Nice end to the day.

  1. Hi! I have been reading your blog and I also follow you on Instagram 😊. We are going to Tanzania in July. We will start in Arusha, and I would like to do an easy hike with the children Before we go to Ngorongoro. Du you have a tour Company that you could recommend if we want to do a walking safari in Arusha? Or do we just take a taxi to the park and then arrange everything there? I have never been in Arusha Nat park, but I lived in Tz as a teenager and I speak swahili.
