Easter 2014

After London, it wasn’t too hard to adjust to the cooler, wetter weather that we had going on in Arusha. From Wednesday evening until Saturday morning we had 6 inches of rain!  We went to the movies, colored, and hung out with friends.  It was relaxing.

Friday afternoon, we drove to the Fischer’s house to color Easter eggs.  The kids have no memory of ever doing this before – I think that last time would have been before we moved to Tanzania.  They loved it.  There was paint and food coloring and glitter, so what’s not to love.

Despite all the rain, the Easter Bunny was able to find us and hid some eggs and Tanzania style Easter baskets.  We missed Matt, but managed to have fun without him.  Then it was two days of Easter lunches and chocolate before we were ready to head back to school.  Phew!

[Our non-American friends seem to think that this is such a crazy American tradition.  I supposed that an Easter Bunny that hides chocolate and eggs is a bit strange though.]

Happy Easter.
