ISM End of Term Swim Gala

Today was the girls’ last day of school before their month long holiday break. To celebrate, the school held a swim gala. The kids had a blast! Each student is assigned a house (color)…they keep this house for the entirety of their stay at ISM and all siblings are put in the same ‘house’. They have chants/cheers for each house – it’s really fun to listen to the girls do their “Blue” cheers (yellow and green at the other house colors). At the end of each term the houses compete against each other…the houses are made of up kids from the whole school: Tierney and Ashlyn are in the blue house with other students that are 3-~15 years old. What a great way to meet the kids from other classes. Today it was all about swimming. I was so proud of both girls, but I was particularly impressed with Ashlyn. I knew that she could swim, but I had no idea that she could swim fast. What a great way to end the term.

(The Blue Team won the day, in case you were wondering)
