Back in Arusha

We’re settling back in to life in Arusha.  Power cuts, cooler weather, and two cars that didn’t start have not hindered us at all.  (Power cuts were supposed to be *eased* to 8-12 hours per day, but we’re on hour 20 now).  The first dinner back in Arusha the kids devoured 2 bunches of bananas, and they were also excited to have their regular cereal for breakfast.  I was nervous after a month of Frosted Mini Wheats, frozen waffles, and bagels that we might have some adjustment issues, but that fear seems to be unwarranted.
School starts on Tuesday and we’re getting closer to a normal sleep schedule.  Last night the kids slept from 9:30 until 7:30/8, so we should be ready for Tuesday morning (fingers crossed).
We’ve filled the week by unpacking (yes, that qualifies as an actual event), playing with the bunnies, going horse back riding, and building the rabbits a new daytime enclosure for grazing.
Tierney (a natural on the horse) wants to know why we can’t just buy a horse since that would be so much easier than driving to the stables to go ride one.  Ashlyn had the biggest grin on her face the whole time and it got even bigger when they trotted.  We’re in trouble.

Didn’t take long for T to get going on her own
Turns out the bunny corral isn’t just good for keeping the rabbits in.

We had a great month in America, but it does feel nice to be home.
